Not really a good advertisement for McAfee when they cannot sort out their own software. Why do they pretend to understand what hackers and virus writers are doing when they can't sort out their own. I'm going back to AVG - though I'm not too impressed with them either.
I really hate the idea of installing software giving someone remote access. It is open to all sorts of abuse. I have uninstalled LogMeIn but it still leaves me with a nervous feeling. There is now a "Protect More" button on the McAfee software which does work to protect a second or more devices. My complaint about your broadband service is detailed in the attached taken from your community forum. This issue was started in mid July, in fact from the instigation of McAfee and has been going on ever since. My impression of BT so far towards its customers is one of "could not care less".
The initial response was encouraging with a LogMeIn session lasting over an hour. Although this was encouraging I was not happy giving a remote control of my computer to anyone. It left me with a nervous feeling.
However even after this the problem was not solved, in fact I watched the session carefully and they did not do anything I could not do or had not done myself. I was then told that the problem was being passed over to "engineers" and wait a couple of weeks before trying again. This I did and the problem was still the same after two weeks. BT call centre then called me and said the problem was ongoing, they would call me back in a week.
This they did. During the call they tried something I had already tried and still the problem was the same. They said they would call me back in a week. This they did, said the problem was on going, and they would call me back a week. This happened several more times. I have now stopped answering calls from BT call centre.
