What OS are you on as well? If you don't mind, it would be useful to collect the error logs so that the root cause can be determined. If so, just as Keyur and systemx mentioned above, please use the collect. Or do you mean you do not get any errors during installation, you just have the installation uncompletable?

If so, I suspect your install media may have corrupted, please re-get them from the Microsoft official site and then re-install them.

Here's a link to my vslogs. Based on the responses I'm getting it seems that my prior messages were not clear. It seems that the installation of SP1 for VisualStudio worked. I have re-applied it twice and both times it appeared to install correctly.
